Valerio led us through several sacred sites including the stone fortress/ceremonial sanctuary of Sacsayhuaman and the water temple, Tambomachay. At each location, we performed ceremonies of cleansing and blessing and asking the land for permission to explore. 

Sacsayhuaman is where I first ate coca leaves and ended up high. The stones there are massive and perfectly aligned. It’s an impressive place to visit. And once again, you can feel the energy of the stones in your hands. 

Tambochay is a much smaller site with several fountains and by the time we got there, I was tired and honestly, didn’t pay much attention to what was said. The cocaine had probably worn off.
