The website is operated by Mountain Mama Media, referred to below as “Uneven Ground,” “we,” “us,” or “our.” Please read these Terms before purchasing a membership.

Website Content and Personal Use

Uneven Ground features original writing, audio, artwork, photographs, and other creative materials. These materials belong to their respective copyright owners.

You may access content made available to you for your personal, noncommercial use. A membership provides access to content; it does not transfer ownership or grant permission to publish, distribute, or sell it.

Except as permitted by applicable law or with written permission, you may not reproduce, record, redistribute, publicly upload, sell, or otherwise commercially exploit website or member content.

We do not authorize automated scraping, bulk extraction, or use of our content to develop or train artificial intelligence systems without written permission. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or exceptions provided by applicable law.

Free Content and Newsletter Subscriptions

Some website content is available without a paid membership. Joining the email newsletter is free and does not enroll you in a paid subscription.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails through the unsubscribe link in those messages. Unsubscribing from emails does not cancel a paid membership.

All Access Membership

All Access is a paid subscription providing the benefits described on the membership signup page at the time of purchase.

Current benefits include access to Book One’s audio and bonus materials, available Book Two chapters and bonus materials, notifications of newly released chapters, and selected member offers when available.

Member access continues while your subscription is active and your account is in good standing. Membership does not provide lifetime access.

Book Two is released in installments. Publication dates may vary; membership does not guarantee a fixed number of new chapters each month unless expressly stated in your offer. Content designated for free release is currently available to All Access members one month after its release.

Event and merchandise offers are subject to availability and any terms stated with the offer. Event tickets and merchandise are not included unless expressly specified.

Pricing, Billing, and Automatic Renewal

The current All Access membership price is $8 per month in U.S. dollars, plus any applicable taxes. The price and billing frequency applicable to your purchase will be shown at checkout.

By purchasing a recurring membership and authorizing recurring billing at checkout, you agree that your payment method will be charged at the stated interval until you cancel.

We charge your first payment when you subscribe. Subsequent payments are charged according to the renewal schedule shown in your account or purchase confirmation.

Please keep your billing information current. If a payment fails, access may be interrupted or suspended until payment is resolved.

If we change your recurring price, we will provide advance notice and any additional notice or consent required by applicable law. You may cancel before the new price takes effect.

Managing and Canceling Your Membership

You may cancel your membership before its next renewal to stop future subscription charges.

If you need assistance, email info@uneven-ground.com. Please retain your cancellation confirmation and contact us if you do not receive one.

Deleting emails, unsubscribing from the newsletter, or simply stopping use of the website does not cancel your membership.

Refunds

Membership payments are generally nonrefundable, and we do not provide prorated refunds for unused portions of a billing period, except where required by law. If you believe you were charged incorrectly or cannot access content included in your membership, contact info@uneven-ground.com so we can investigate and address the issue.

Nothing in these Terms limits any refund or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Accounts and Access

Please provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure. Memberships are intended for individual use; sharing login credentials or providing others with access to restricted content is not permitted.

Contact us if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

We may suspend or terminate access for unauthorized distribution, account misuse, fraud, unlawful activity, or a material violation of these Terms. Where reasonably practicable, we will explain the issue and provide an opportunity to resolve it. Any treatment of prepaid fees will remain subject to applicable law.

Availability and Membership Changes

We aim to keep the website and member content available, but maintenance, technical problems, or circumstances outside our control may temporarily interrupt access.

We may update website features and content. If we discontinue the paid membership or materially reduce its core benefits, we will notify affected members in advance where reasonably practicable and explain the cancellation and any applicable refund arrangements.

Personal Experiences and Informational Content

Uneven Ground is a memoir and creative work reflecting the author’s personal experiences, perspectives, and recollections.

Discussions of grief, health, relationships, spirituality, or healing are provided for literary and informational purposes. They are not medical, psychological, therapeutic, or other professional advice, and are not a substitute for care from a qualified professional.

References to personal practices or experiences are not recommendations that readers undertake them.

External Purchases and Links

The website may link to books, journals, tickets, merchandise, and other resources offered through external retailers or platforms.

Purchases completed through those providers are governed by their checkout terms, payment practices, and return or cancellation policies.
